Contemporary art exhibition in a historic Chinese town

The Anren Biennale stands as a pivotal contemporary art exhibition in Western China, situated in the historic town of Anren, approximately 40 kilometers from Chengdu. Established in 2017 by OCT Contemporary Art Terminal (OCAT) Chengdu, the biennale takes advantage of Anren's preserved Republican-era buildings, former ancestral halls, and repurposed industrial spaces.
