Art in Cortina d'Ampezzo

Cortina d’Ampezzo is a town of about 5,400 people at 1,224 meters in the Dolomites, in the Veneto region of Italy. It hosted the Winter Olympics in 1956 and again, with Milan, in February 2026. For an art traveller it has a modern art museum built on a local collector’s gift, mid-century Olympic architecture, and living craft traditions in filigree, wool, and glass.
