Gwangju Museum of Art

Gwangju's municipal art museum, founded on 1 August 1992 to promote local artists. In 1996 it served as a venue for the Gwangju Biennale, and it continues to host Biennale pavilions; its collection includes works by Heo Baekryeon, Oh Jiho and other regional artists.
