Sharjah Art Foundation

The Sharjah Art Foundation was established in 2009 to build on the legacy of the Sharjah Biennial, which has run since 1993. It operates across a network of restored and purpose-built spaces in the emirate of Sharjah and is led by Hoor Al Qasimi. The foundation organizes the Sharjah Biennial, year-round exhibitions, commissions, residencies, and the influential March Meeting convening of artists and curators, with a program focused on art from the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and the wider Global South.
